THE TECH

The Architecture on how it’s built the ZONDRA™ ZERO Series-"Deep Thud" | Elongated 16mm

The ZONDRA™ ZERO is a high-performance paddle engineered for elite playability and radical noise suppression. By replacing resonant honeycomb cores with a monolithic, multi-material composite matrix, we have eliminated the high-frequency "pop" that defines the sport's noise crisis.

I. Core Architecture: High-Bead Fusion Composite

The heart of the ZONDRA™ ZERO is a proprietary EPP + EVA Composite Core

(Z-Matrix™ Composite), manufactured through a high-pressure thermoforming cycle at 120ºC – 125ºC.

  • Closed-Cell EPP Matrix: Our high-bead fusion Expanded Polypropylene provides superior energy return without the acoustic amplification of hollow cells.
  • Acoustic Absorption Strips: Integrated EVA strips are strategically placed to disrupt internal sound waves, delivering a medium-soft Shore feel.
  • Heat-Activated Bonding: All components are fused using industrial-grade epoxy film, ensuring a unified structure that is 100% resistant to delamination.

II. Z-Dual™ Structural Perimeter Frame: Vibration Decoupling

Every ZONDRA™ ZERO features a reinforced perimeter designed for a total vibration isolation.

  • 100% Foam-Filled Double-Tube Frame: The bladder-molded carbon frame is injected with High-Density EVA. Unlike standard paddles, this foam-filled "backbone" extends through the handle to the butt cap to block high-frequency vibration from reaching the player.
  • Anti-Snap Throat Reinforcement: UD Carbon inserts are layered "under-the-hood" in a V-Shape geometry to ensure maximum torsional stiffness at the handle-face junction.
  • Handle Isolation: A layer of specialized shock-absorbing EVA tape is applied beneath the high-tack grip to further decouple the hand from the strike.

III. Z-Tow™ Carbon Surface: 3K Spread Tow Carbon

The ZONDRA™ ZERO’s face is a 100% carbon system engineered for consistent response and long-lasting friction.

  • 3K Spread Tow Carbon: The outer layer provides a high-strength, visual-matte finish with zero resin pooling.
  • 45° UD Carbon Cross-Ply: An internal layer of Uni-Directional (UD) carbon is oriented to provide elite torsional stiffness.
  • Structural Peel Ply Texture: We achieve the surface roughness through physical lamination—never topical grit—ensuring the spin remains permanent and compliant.

IV. Technical & Performance Metrics

The ZONDRA™ ZERO is benchmarked against the strictest QA protocols in the industry.

Test Parameter Specification / Target Acceptance Criteria

Dominant Frequency < 550 Hz (Deep Thud profile) Reject if > 600 Hz
Harmonics None detected Reject if any peak > 1,000 Hz
Energy Reduction Minimum 50% reduction Compared to 85 dB industry benchmark
Twist Weight > 6.6 kg·cm² Minimum required
Surface Roughness 40 Rt / 30 Rz average Reject if Avg > 40/30

V. Legal Disclaimer & Regulatory Compliance

  • Acoustic Integrity: The ZONDRA™ ZERO is engineered for sound mitigation as defined by our laboratory standard of < 70dB and < 550Hz. While our monolithic core and foam-filled frame are designed to produce a low-frequency "Deep Thud," environmental factors—including ball type, court surface, and atmospheric conditions—may affect perceived levels.
  • Regulatory Standing: This paddle is designed to comply with USAPA "Quiet Category" requirements. Every unit undergoes a 100% batch certification process; any unit exhibiting high-pitched or metallic harmonics (> 1,000Hz) is classified as a "Critical Structural Defect" and rejected.
  • Liability & Limitations: While ZONDRA™ technology provides industry-leading sound mitigation, "total silence" is a physical impossibility in high-velocity impact sports. Reported decibel and frequency data are recorded in controlled laboratory environments. ZONDRA™ does not guarantee immunity from local noise ordinances or HOA regulations, as our product is a professional tool for noise mitigation, not total elimination.
